The floor-wall connection - also known as a bilge seam - is a critical detail within a building's airtight envelope. Poor sealing at this point often leads to draughts, cold leaks and loss of energy performance.
Liquid Rubber HBS200 is ideally suited for sealing these seams seamlessly and permanently flexible. Thanks to its liquid application, the product adheres perfectly in the transition between floor and wall, even in case of unevenness or cracking due to settlement or movement.
Kim joints - the transition between wall and floor - are notorious weak spots when it comes to airtight construction. Air leaks, draughts and energy losses can occur through these seams if they are not properly sealed.
Liquid Rubber HBS200 is ideally suited for this application. Because the product is liquid, it fits perfectly in corners and transitions, even when the construction is subject to movement or shrinkage. Liquid Rubber HBS200 can be easily applied with a brush or roller, but for larger surfaces it can also be sprayed airless for higher production and fast application.
Its permanently elastic, vapour and airtight properties make Liquid Rubber HBS200 a durable solution for reliable sealing of bilge seams in both residential and commercial construction.
